New Book Claims Meghan Markle Is 'Deluded' And 'Irritated' By Victoria Beckham's Wealth

Meghan Markle is "deluded" and "irritated" by Victoria Beckham's wealth, according to a new book.

The sensational new biography about the Beckhams also asserts that the Duchess believed she had a higher social status than the Spice Girl. The controversial biography, The House of Beckham, mainly focuses on the reportedly tense relationship between Posh and Becks, but it also shares insights into Meghan and Harry as it delves into the complex dynamics between these two influential couples.

Celebrity biographer Tom Bower, the author, claims that Meghan initially "put on airs" around the former pop star because she felt they had little in common and due to her status within the Royal Family.

Bower wrote: "In Meghan's celebrity world, ranking depended on wealth and fame. As a seasoned operator, Meghan deluded herself that her status in the Royal Family placed her above Victoria in the social pecking order."

"She was irritated to discover that the Beckhams had considerably more wealth than herself. They owned five homes, had constant access to private jets, invitations to sail on yachts and much more money. And she was soon to be a duchess."

However, because of the Beckhams' long-standing friendship with Prince Harry and William, the couple made an effort to engage with Meghan.

Bower also describes how Meghan stayed at the Beckhams' Beverly Hills residence during a private trip to LA, writing: "Her excuse was to avoid the paparazzi. At no cost, all her needs were secretly provided for by the Beckhams' staff.

"If there was a hint that Meghan was taking advantage of her new status, the Beckhams pushed their gripes aside."

Victoria and Meghan's friendship took a downturn after a story about Victoria giving makeup advice to the former actress appeared in the tabloids. Harry "was ordered to complain to David Beckham" as Meghan grew suspicious that Posh was the source of the story.

It's also claimed that Meghan, who was nearly a Duchess at the time, asked Victoria if she could get free clothes and handbags. However, the Palace stopped this, as it was "against their rules." Additionally, the Beckhams' ongoing relationship with Prince William strained their friendship with the Sussexes.

According to Bower, Meghan and Harry deliberately excluded the Beckhams from their wedding dinner, opting instead to invite other prominent figures such as George Clooney. Meghan reportedly did not have a personal relationship with Posh and Becks at the time.
