Life's Too Short For Regrets, So Stop Taking It For Granted

Life’s Too Short For Regrets, So Stop Taking It For Granted

Stop and smell the roses is more than just an expression. It's a philosophy of life. So, when are you going to start living it?

We work, argue, stress out, with our heads stuck between what was and what will be. We are continually taking life for granted, but we're so busy we don't even notice it.

Never take today for granted, tomorrow might never come.
― Matt Vella

Life's a one-time offer; there's no replay or fast forward. You have to be present, or you'll miss the most critical moments, and before you know it, you'll wonder what the heck happened?

Instead of wasting your last years in regret, why not just start living now, this very moment?

While you might ask yourself, "What is this chick talking about" ask yourself, when was the last time you were thankful for being alive? For having friends or a great partner? When was the last time you stopped and said look: "I'm here, I am so lucky!"

Life is a precious gift - a gift we often take for granted until it is threatened.
―Lecrae

Living life to the fullest is about being grateful, understanding that nothing lasts forever, and nothing will ever be perfect.

There's no need to put on a fake smile because life gives you plenty of reasons to smile. Even when times are hard and you feel hopeless, there are the smallest miracles around you. Replace self-pity with gratefulness, and you'll be able to handle anything life throws at you.

It's not a bad idea to occasionally spend a little time thinking about things you take for granted. Plain everyday things.

What does it mean to live your life to the fullest?

Stop complaining

Disconnect from your phone and look at the world

Don't apologize for your dreams, goals, or ending toxic friendships

Celebrate each day as if it's your birthday

Stop asking others for permissions

Focus on your health, and don't obsess over calories

Pick a hobby that will spark your creativity

Accept that happiness is choice

Believe in something bigger than yourself, but don't overanalyze it

Stand up for your truth

Do a charity challenge

Join a book club, chess club, or start playing an instrument

Make your food, and be grateful for each bite

Love yourself unconditionally

Get a tattoo, dress up, whatever makes you feel more authentic, but don't explain

Face your fears

Celebrate you're here, your body, your mind, and soul

Tell people you love them

Be mindful, aware, and grateful

Now, watch your life turn into something bigger than you ever imagined…
