Our beloved pop star, Selena Gomez, will be featured on Blackpink's next single.

A YG Entertainment representative addressed various media outlets with an update on the band's comeback preparations.

"Preparations for BlackPink's worldwide comeback are being carried out very smoothly. The 4-members recently wrapped up their MV filming, and they are now in the final stages of comeback preparations." The rep said in a statement

Previously on August 18, Selena Gomez shared with fans an exciting teaser image via her Instagram. The image shows the front end of a pink Chevrolet vehicle, boasting a license plate that reads "Selpink" (Selena + BLACKPINK). Selena wrote: "SELPINK pulling up soon. 8/28"

Previously on Tuesday, and after much speculation from fans, Gomez confirmed the rumors on Twitter and Instagram saying that she's 'So SO excited to announce [Blackpink] and I have a new song coming out!'.

Blackpink members Lisa, Jennie, Rosé, and Jisoo also shared the good news on social media, as did the girl band's official Twitter account. Combined, Blackpink and Gomez's announcements have amassed more than 586k likes on the platform.

In January, Gomez released Rare, which the Los Angeles Times hailed as her 'first great pop album.' Also, earlier this summer, she collaborated with rapper Lil Mosey and singer-songwriter Trevor Daniel for a remix of Daniel's Past Life.

Earlier this year, our favorite Blackpink's members joined forces with Lady Gaga for Sour Candy, a hit single off the latter's 2020 album, "Chromatica," after teaming with Dua Lipa for 2018's Kiss and Makeup.

And now it's Gomez's turn to team with BlankPink's ladies!
