Back in 2018, Ric Flair and Wendy Barlow got married, but recently, the two have said they were never truly married. Apparently, the ceremony was not legal:
"It was just a ceremony. We were never married."
Ric Flair confirmed the breakup on social media, and Barlow also posted saying they were never actually married and did not even apply for a marriage certificate.
In any case, the two have been living separately for the past six months.
When the couple got married, they enjoyed the ceremony at the Pearl Hotel in Rosemary Beach in Florida. They said that "Dreams do come true in a joint statement."
The ceremony was partly live-streamed on Facebook by the former WWE wrestler.
He wore a custom David Alan Black Label with a white suit while Barlow had a form-fitting gown.
In the years they had spent together, they went through a number of challenges, including Barlow's COVID-19 infection back in 2020.
Ric Flair revealed they were staying in separate parts of their 5,000 square foot home after falling ill. While he lived downstairs in the basement, she lived on the third floor.
Flair is no stranger to health scares, either. He found out that he was suffering from kidney failure in 2017.
At the time, Ric was also close to suffering from congestive heart failure due to many years of alcohol abuse. He had to be put in a medically induced coma, but he eventually recovered.
Before his marriage to Barlow, Ric was married to Leslie Goodman, Elizabeth Harrell, Tiffany VanDemark, and Jackie Beems.
