Professional wrestling star, Mustafa Ali, is pushing to have a mystery role in the Blade film. A new version of the famous movie was announced by Kevin Feige back in 2019 at the San Diego Comic-Con.
The SmackDown! wrestler shared on Twitter his interest in the role and tagged Marvel Studios in the post. The new Blade film could have a particular plotline.
The role Ali seeks apparently requires a South Asian male in his 20s or 30s. The character should also be ready for training, although fight experience will be an added advantage.
According to the character's description, the mystery role requires him to have "eyes that tell us he has been through strife."
Fans on Twitter think Ali is right about his suitability for the role. They have been pushing to have the role given to the WWE wrestler, who is now 35.
He has a lot of fighting experience as he has been getting in the ring for almost 19 years. He joined WWE back in 2016.
Ali also meets the requirement that the character is of South Asian descent as he is of Pakistani descent.
Some people speculate that the mystery character could be Taj Nital, a vampire that appeared in Tomb of Dracula#3 back in 1972. The character's throat was ripped after an attack by Vlad Dracula.
Nital does not fit in with the need for muteness mentioned in the casting call. Then again, it would not be the first time Marvel is trying to come up with a new origin story for one of their characters.
It is apparent that Ali has the physical build, ethnic background, and the fight experience the role requires. That is why it seems like he could be such a perfect fit.
Traditionally, the title character, a half-human/half-vampire hybrid, sets off on a mission to catch supernatural and blood-sucking creatures while also struggling with his own identity.
The mission often requires that the main character gets help from people and superheroes such as The Avengers. The new film is directed by Bassam Tariq and will apparently have Mahershala Ali in the lead role.
