While most women would consider facial hair the most embarrassing thing ever, Klyde Warren insists it's her best feature.

The 27-year-old Nebraskan woman has a beard that would put a lot of men to shame.

She has refused to shave her stubble. Instead, she has decided to embrace it despite the abuse she has received for her decision.

Klyde Warren does not let the cruel comments from strangers get to her. Many have called her "gross," but that has not changed her love for her facial hair.

She is a freelance writer. After signing up on dating apps, she has been taunted because of her beard.

Nevertheless, she has not caved into the pressure to shave her beard. If anything, Klyde is determined to find herself a partner who loves her facial hair just as much as she does.

While in high school, Klyde realized that her mustache was thicker than most girls. It was then that she decided to embrace her unique feature right away.

However, she was still the only person who seemed to like it. Her mom did not like it at all, and she advised Klyde to get rid of it.

But her mind was made up, she refused to shave it and it didn't bother her.

Instead of shaving her hair, she worked on her self-confidence. As far as she is concerned, there is no problem with being "a little different."

She said that many people are so self-conscious that it's important to learn to be comfortable in your own skin. That tends to be a challenge for a lot of people.

As far as she is concerned, this is all part of nature's plan:

"The universe wanted it to be this way so I'm going to trust it."

However, she admits that she did spend her school days feeling insecure about her appearance. The bullying probably didn't help.

At one point, she would sneak a razor to school every day to shave her face and arms to avoid the criticism of being too hairy.

Today, she says that looking after her beard is easy. She washes it on a daily basis and gives it a trim once in a while.

But while she might be comfortable with her looks, her choice has had an impact on her love life.

For one, a lot of people stare at her. On Tinder, people go out of their way to send her messages telling her how disgusting and gross she is.

Sometimes it bothers her. Fortunately, she is confident enough to handle the criticism.

Obviously, nobody likes to get these kinds of hateful comments.

Some of the people she dates seem to embrace her beard too much and see it as her defining feature. Fortunately, her last boyfriend was very supportive.

Klyde suffers from hirsutism, which is a condition that results in women getting thick dark hair on their faces, necks, chests, tummies, lower backs, and even thighs.

She has an especially high concentration of testosterone in her body for a woman. That results in the facial hair growth that has caused her all this trouble and bullying.

This condition also comes with irregular periods, too much androgen, high amounts of 'male' hormones in the body, and enlargement of ovaries, a process called polycystic ovaries.

She says it is currently quite horrifying that she had to sneak a razor into school to shave her face.

In fact, she shaved regularly for 8 years before deciding she was done with the charade back in 2009. Since then, she has never looked back.
