You know what Maine Coons cats are, right? These majestic cats look like mythical creatures straight from movies or fairy tales.
They're one of the oldest natural breeds in North America, making them expensive. While you can say the same about other cats as well, the size of Maine Coons is what sets them apart from other breeds.
Of course, the owners of these gorgeous kitty cats love to show them off, and I think we can all agree that they're even more 'Instagrammable' than some humans.
One such cat owner created an Instagram account that features her Maine Coon Lotus. So far, the cute cat model has more than 313K followers on Instagram only (yup, you read that right), and when you look at her photos, it's easy to see why.
Lotus likes to help out with the cooking
This cat is one of the biggest feline friends we've seen, and it just looks so breathtaking!
And after looking at these photos of cat species, I think you won't be questioning his Internet fame any longer, as he's indeed exceptional.
Here's Lotus in comparison with a human
Lotus' owner, Lindstein, told The Dodo:
"Many people think he looks like a mini lynx. Sometimes others think that he looks like a little lion."
"Both humans and even dogs usually react when they [first] see him. Many think at first that he is a dog … It's lucky that he is very friendly to everyone."
Lotus even has a website of his own, LotusTheMainecoon.com, which states:
"Welcome to my page where I mostly share pictures of me and sometimes my cat friends. I am of the breed Maine Coon, "the gentle giant." I am from Norway, (N) Spellbound's, but I live in the middle of Sweden and I am 3 years old and just over 10 kg."
"I have a light small voice, and I'm gentle in my way. Calm and kind, love my family. Like sleeping on the balcony or on the backrest on the couch. Likes to experience nature and animals. We are all indoor cats, but we sometimes follow our family on an adventure in nature in a harness or to our cabin, but we are never alone outside. Here you can follow our lives."
Lotus likes to pose majestically
You might be surprised, but Lotus is only a bit larger than average Maine Coons. Some of these cats can grow up to around 30 pounds.
