Woman Mortified After Discovering Hidden Code In Her Pineapple Tattoo

As someone without tattoos, I can only imagine the distress some individuals feel when they realize their tattoo has an unintended connotation, similar to the woman in the example below.

Brittany Lewin, based in the US, frequently posts on her TikTok account, showcasing her hangouts with friends and other content she desires to share with her audience.

However, she has a pineapple tattoo prominently displayed on her forearm, frequently seen in many of her videos.

Unfortunately for Brittany, she recently became aware that the innocent pineapple tattoo has a different connotation for some viewers.

In a recent video on her channel, Brittany revealed her shock at learning that the upside-down pineapple, as it appears when she moves her arm, is a symbol used by swingers.

Brittany learned of this after being advised by a friend to search for it on Google.

In a screenshot of a text exchange, her friend stated: "It's still going to make me giggle, I only just found out what an upside-down pineapple means."

To which Brittany responded: "Wait what? Googling right now."

It wasn't only her friend who noticed the mistake, as some other users also pointed it out.

In the caption of the post, she wrote: "When you realise you've made a mistake."

Commenting on the post, one user wrote: "I've thought this every video I've seen of you. I just thought 'each to their own'."

"I always thought you and your partner were just into some extra fun stuff. I'm sad that you didn't actually know," another claimed.

However, Brittany's friend is not the only one to realize that the pineapple symbol may have a different meaning.

TikTok user Linda disclosed last year that she and her spouse purchased matching swimwear featuring pineapple patterns for a trip.

She further explained that they were puzzled by the excessive friendliness of others during their vacation.

However, Linda and her partner were not alone in their surprise - many commented expressing similar feelings.

One user asked: "When did the pineapple start meaning this? I only heard of this a few weeks ago and only because I saw it on TT."

Another wrote: "I thought pineapples meant hospitality. I worked 10 years at an assisted living facility and everything was pineapples."
