She enjoys plenty of perks, allowing her to join in almost every activity offered to both the ship's crew and guests, with just a few small exceptions. Christine shares her life aboard the cruise ship on TikTok, openly talking about the few limitations she encounters in her videos.
With a strong fan base of more than 680,000 users on the platform, she emphasizes her commitment to respecting the privacy and enjoyment of both guests and crew members while on board. She explains that filming them during their vacation would be "disrespectful." However, she points out that the situation changes when they willingly appear in her videos off the ship.
No gambling on the cruise ship for Christine, either
Christine also shares that she chooses not to gamble on the ship, explaining, "Because it would look a little weird if I, as the wife of the staff chief engineer, won a big jackpot." She continues to clarify in her video that there are additional rules she must adhere to.
She follows a strict rule, just like any other guest. Being late to reboard the cruise ship is not an option for her. She firmly asserts that the ship won't wait for her. The same rule applies to her husband too, as someone else would step into his role if they missed the ship.
There is a level of respect that needs to be maintained at all times
Additionally, she explains that while it's not explicitly banned, she opts not to show videos of medical evacuations during search and rescue missions as a sign of respect for the people involved. Given her past experience as a cruise director, Christine willingly gives up her spot in guest areas, especially around the busy pool, believing it's the right course of action.
Some followers didn't share the enthusiasm, but others were quite excited. "No shade here, but how do you keep yourself busy? I imagine it must get boring once the novelty has worn off," one said. Another added: "Calling all cruise ship engineers… I'm single and ready to be a wife on board!"
