A woman who asserted that her dog is a vegetarian was left humiliated after he promptly consumed meat during a basic test conducted live on TV.

Dogs are known to eat anything they come across, but Lucy Carrington insisted that her pet pooch, Storm, had a more discerning taste than most dogs.

She appeared as a guest on the ITV program 'This Morning.'

While seated with Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes on the couch, she stood firm in her beliefs even after being questioned.

She claimed that she adopted the practice on the advice of a neighbor who also fed their dog in the same manner.

At this point, the hosts introduced a small test. They presented two bowls to the husky, one containing vegetables and the other containing meat.

It must have been a humiliating but unsurprising turn of events for Carrington when her dog made a beeline straight for the meat bowl and proceeded to devour the meat with apparent delight.

Asserting that her dog favored vegetables in hot weather, Carrington stated, "Oh you little...I didn't swear. In fairness, the weather has cooled down quite dramatically."

Interestingly, Lucy is not a vegan or vegetarian herself. While sitting beside a veterinarian, she acknowledged that her dog appeared to have a preference for the meat option.

"She seemed to perk up, be a lot happier. She really took to it. If this is what she wants then obviously I'm going to adapt accordingly."
