The public shaming of her ex-boyfriend by a woman for cheating on her with his school-age stepsister garnered widespread attention, leading to discussions about the suitability of their relationship and the repercussions of such public humiliation.
A woman who was betrayed by her former boyfriend and found out that he cheated on her with his stepsister, who was in high school, is gaining viral attention for openly condemning him without hesitation.
According to The Post, 18-year-old Courtney Copenhagen said, "My ex's stepsister sent me a Snapchat video of the two of them, both completely naked, and she was on top of him."
Furthermore, she mentioned that her ex-partner and his stepsister had been related by marriage for over eight years.
"As soon as I saw the video I started crying, and my first thought was 'What the f–k?'" she said.
In a currently trending TikTok confession, Copenhagen, who is a first-year student at Michigan Tech, revealed the unsettling occurrence for the first time.
In the caption of her widely viewed video, set to Ed Sheeran's "Don't," in which he admonishes a former lover for cheating, she stated: "I never saw your stepsister as a threat." "Until she sent me a video of you two having sex of course."
The biomedical engineering student was taken aback and further explained that she had met her ex-partner, a Michigan Tech sophomore named Mitchell, during her first semester of college. She was having lunch with his mother when she discovered about his unfaithfulness involving his stepsister.
"I was going out to lunch with his mom because it was her birthday and I wanted to celebrate it with her," said Copenhagen."And that's when the stepsister (a high school student named Ashley) sent me the Snapchat."
In a subsequent TikTok post, the college student admitted that she had actually shown the incriminating video to Mitchell's mother during their lunch since. "I was in shock and I didn't know what to do." She says that the unseemly scene left her ex's mother "even more in shock," and she eventually left the restaurant.
"His mom just looked at me and said, 'I need to leave,'" Copenhagen explained. "I'm assuming she went home to confront her kids about it."
Prior to having a chance to confront him about his inappropriate relationship with a family member, Copenhagen realized that she couldn't reach Mitchell or get in touch with him through social media.
"I was expecting to call him when I got back to my dorm," she said. "But once I got back to my room I found out I was blocked on everything with him."
According to Copenhagen, she shared her distressing experience online as a way of coping, without expecting it to gain any traction or become popular.
"I wasn't expecting to get so many views and likes. It's kind of overwhelming," she said. "I've just always posted videos as a way to deal with the different things that happen in my life."
Additionally, she posted a screenshot of a text message from Ashley, who was angry and reprimanded her for exposing their personal matters on the internet.
"This is Ashley. What the actual f–k is wrong with you? You made a TikTok about my brother and I and you used his name?! Our friends and family members saw it and now we're getting s—-ed on for it! You're a piece of s–t like how f—ed up can you be? Karma is going to be a real b—h to you…," read the scathing correspondence.
The comment section of Copenhagen's TikTok video was flooded with sympathetic messages from viewers who empathized with her situation.
Nevertheless, Copenhagen promptly reassured her online sympathizers that their kindness was not needed.
"Everyone who's apologizing, please don't," she insisted. "I'm glad I dodged that bullet. I was a freshman in college who was going to fall in love with the first person she laid eyes on. And the guy I fall in love with just so happens to be someone who f–ks their sister. So, I'm OK!"
Despite the fact that Copenhagen hasn't completely given up on the idea of romance, she is taking a break from it for the time being due to her busy academic schedule, as she doesn't have time for drama.
