It’s not every day that a fast food restaurant is responsible for someone improving their health. Yet, it happened for Darren’ Dibsy’ McClintock, 28, and he went from being obese to a healthy and attractive young man.

The young man from Middlesbrough weighed 560 pounds before going on a diet and exercise regime. His doctors stated he could either “diet or die.”

McClintock can now tie his own laces, wear a seat belt, fit in the bath, and ride a bike. It wasn’t possible before his dramatic weight loss. Apart from hiring a personal trainer, he had a little help from fast-food chains.

The man had two workouts per day, two hours of cardio on a treadmill or bike in the morning, and up to two hours of working with weights in the evening.

He swapped sodas for pineapples and found a lady of his dreams.

McClintock said about his lifestyle changes:

“My life has turned around in the last 15 weeks.”

“I can actually go out and about and do things that normal people can do but take for granted. My body aches, but I feel so much better because I’m eating properly and working out every day.”

“Every aspect of my life has improved for the better. Obviously, I’m physically fitter, but I’m much happier as well; I used to be depressed and sad.”

He no longer craves unhealthy foods:

“It was my birthday in December, and I treated myself to fish and chips, but I ate half and threw it away because I don’t even like it anymore.”

The 35-year-old Mike Hind put his client on a strict regime. The diet consists of high-protein meals with up to 3,000 calories a day. Over the past 15 weeks, Hind has cut 1,000,000 calories from his most challenging client’s diet.

Hind understood that he was his client’s last hope:

“The way I see it, this was a case of life or death.”

“If Dibsy hadn’t made a change in his life, then it could have been the end for him.”

Hind’s mission is not over yet:

“This is just the beginning.”

“Dibsy is going to go on and live a healthy life.”

Apart from caring about his calory intake and exercise, Hind did one unusual thing. He went to Dibsy’s favorite fast-food restaurants and handed them a photo of his client. He campaigned to have him banned from McClintock’s favorite places to eat.

An upcoming surgery and unexpected love

Dibsy is about to have cardioversion, an operation that will bring his abnormally fast heart rate down to a normal rhythm.

He’s also aiming to shed more weight with the help of his resourceful coach. With a certain blonde lady in the picture, Dibsy feels better than ever, as he stated on his Facebook:

“Both physically and mentally I’m in the best place I have ever been, I’m really happy.”
