Ivis Sloane And Jim Martin Reunite With Tony

Ivis, Jim, and Tony were best friends who served side-by-side.

However, 53 years ago, Tony was injured, and the trio became a duo. Ivis and Jim thought that Tony had passed away.

Though Ivis and Jim were heartbroken, they managed to move on, get married, have children, and yet, stay friends for over five decades.

Surprising Tony

The friends, who were in their early 20s when they lost touch, reunited by accident.

They discovered that friends and family were throwing Tony a birthday party as the veteran was turning 75. So, they decided to surprise him.

The party turned into an uplifting reunion, filled with tears and laughter. Tony recognized Ivis immediately. However, he struggled with Jim, who has changed more dramatically.

A Day Like No Other

Tony and his loved ones were excited to see his long-lost buddies.

But then the veteran was presented with a Purple Heart, and it was indeed a wholesome moment. Not only because of the award but because everyone who needed to be with Tony was there.
