uber driver surprises fast food worker with new clothes after hearing about her christmas wish

A Uber driver is getting applauded for her decision to make a customer’s Christmas wish come true by giving her an unexpected gift.

Diane works at Tim Hortons, and Lamiyah Jabbar had picked her up to get her to work.

During the ride, they began chatting, and Diane spoke of how anxious she was about the upcoming Christmas season. The woman explained that she was looking forward to getting a dress, a new robe, and a church dress.

By any standards, these don’t seem like very extravagant expenses. However, Diane admitted that she did not have the cash to make these wishes come true.

Apparently, she was using most of her money on her grandkids.

However, Jabbar was deeply touched by the woman’s story. In fact, after she dropped her off, she avoided carrying more passengers for the day and made a trip to Old Navy.

She had some shopping to do.

Uber Driver Makes A Surprising Delivery

Soon, she got back to Tim Hortons in Buffalo, New York, where Diane worked. She was going to surprise her with a new dress and a $50 Visa gift card so she could get the shoes and the robe.

Luckily, she took a video, which she later uploaded on Instagram. In the video, the Uber driver pulls up to Diane’s drive-thru window to say hello.

Diane doesn’t recognize her at first, but undeterred, Jabbar reminds her of the conversation they had in the morning before giving her the dress.

In the video caption, the generous Uber driver explained that doing this act of kindness was on her mind from the moment Diane got out of her car. She also said:

“Can you imagine waiting till Christmas just to get a robe, house shoes, and an outfit for church? We tend to take things for granted, but why not help someone else if you can?”

Diane Besides Herself With Joy

After seeing what Jabbar had done for her, Diane was lost for words. She was extremely joyful:

“Oh my God. Thank you so much! This has been such a horrible day and you just made this day so much better!”

Jabbar told the media later that she also offered to return to Tim Hortons later in the day to give Diane a free ride back home.

Apparently, helping out people in need is something she can’t resist:

“I’m one of those people who’s like, you can’t tell me your issues and I can’t move on without helping.”

She also claimed that she doesn’t usually publicize her acts of kindness on social media, but she did it with the hope that the video will inspire her followers to do the same for strangers.

Clearly, a little kindness goes a long way. Christmas came early for Diane, and that’s truly touching.
