Although they say age is nothing but a number, Twitter users were pissed when a teenager, 19, decided to marry an 89-year-old man, Lee R. Hopkins. She met the man at a senior facility, where she was working.

Although such unions are often frowned upon by much of society and usually opposed in a subtle kind of way, Olivia posted messages that drew a lot of open criticism.

It appeared that the girl was taking advantage of a vulnerable old man just to get her hands on his money. The teenager has since deactivated her Twitter account and deleted the controversial messages.

Unfortunately, that is not what it takes to get rid of your digital trail these days. Some internet users already had screenshots of the messages, which are now being shared all over the web.

The weird lovebirds met as Olivia gave Lee his pills at a senior facility, although she was not his regular caretaker.

At first, the elderly man found Olivia's name difficult to remember. Despite such issues, the girl had no problems getting married to him despite a staggering 70-year age gap.

The messages the girl later posted on social media drew a lot of criticism.

Olivia mentioned that once Lee is gone, she will get all his inheritance. She even mentioned there is a possibility this might happen before Christmas and even went on to ask if anyone was willing to marry her once she was a widow.

The Man's Wife Died In A Car Crash

Lee and his wife were involved in a car accident about two years ago. Unfortunately, the man's wife passed away.

Sadly, both had outlived their only son. So, Lee is all alone in the world.

At the time his wife passed away, Lee was suffering from serious dementia. He was even unable to recognize his pastor.

However, that was not the main issue. People got talking when the girl's ill intentions became clear to everyone based on the shocking messages she posted online.

On social media, she boasted that Lee had lots of money. She also made jokes about his poor health.

It was while sending these insensitive posts that she talked about getting married again as soon as she was a widow.

Soon, the posts she put on social media went viral, and the social media community went after the girl for exploiting the man for his money. At that point, she said that her relationship with Lee is based on love.

After the outrage, Olivia deleted the posts, although a number of people had the screenshots already. Therefore, the girl continued to attract criticism for her diabolical intentions.

A few people were dedicated enough to collect all the evidence necessary to create a thread demonstrating that Olivia never had good intentions when she married the elderly man.

Regardless of what the girl says at this point, the world will still feel that she got into this marriage for the money, not for love.
