Tom Cruise is one of the biggest movie stars, and so is his ex-wife, Nicole Kidman. The two have adopted two children, and their son, Connor, switched the bright lights of Hollywood for a more modest, down-to-earth life.

While Cruise and Kidman spent their 20s in the spotlight, Connor Cruise and his sister Bella chose a different path.

After the divorce in 2001, Connor and Bella stayed with their father.

Born in 1995, the young man's destiny was almost pre-written. In 2008, he appeared in Seven Pounds alongside Will Smith. In 2012, he was in the movie Red Dawn.

But the 27-year-old now lives in Clearwater, Florida, and enjoys spending his days fishing.

He shares his everyday adventures on Instagram, and according to sources, his life is simple. He has a house in the Scientology community, has plenty of friends, and enjoys boasting about his big catches.

A source told Radar Online that Connor gets up at 5 am and loves being in the water during the whole day.

The young man, who also worked as a DJ, is an avid Scientologist, like his famous father. It remains a mystery how much, if any, contact he has with his mother, Kidman, who left Scientology after the divorce.

Kidman spoke about the relationships with her two oldest children, saying that she needs to protect them and adding they are adults, and it was their choice to stay in Scientology.

As a mother, the famous Australian actress said, her job is to love them.

She continued:

"I am an example of that tolerance, and that's what I believe – that no matter what your child does, the child has love, and the child has to know there is available love, and I'm open here."

Bella lives in London and works as a fashion designer. She married Max Parker in 2015.

Though her life is more visible to the public, Bella is not a fan of the spotlight.
