Model and TikTok star Emira D'Spain made history after being named the first Black transgender model to work for Victoria's Secret.

D'Spain is known for her makeup videos on TikTok, called Get Ready With Me. She partnered up with Victoria's Secret for a Single Girl's Guide to the Perfect Valentine's Day, a how-to video for people spending this day solo.

The caption, "the best love is self-love," perfectly describes the video.

The model is wearing Victoria's Secret corset, a black mini skirt, a jacket, and sexy Louboutins.

In a statement about the collaboration D'Spain said:

"My entire platform is built on confidence and self-love."

"I want to empower young trans women and men around the world to show them that the beauty and fashion industries are changing, especially if you are a POC. I am so grateful to work with Victoria's Secret and hope this paves the way for those after me"

And to think, only four short years ago, Victoria's Secret's then-chief marketing officer Ed Razek said: "We absolutely would cast a transgender model in our show."

The brand has worked with transgender model Valentina Sampaio since 2019.
