Pixar's newest short animation Kitbull will leave you weeping. It's a story about an "unlikely connection that sparks between two creatures" under dire circumstances.

Directed by Rosana Sullivan and produced by Kathryn Hendrickson, Kitbull is among the newest Pixar short films, and it's a touching story about the unlikely friendship between a stray kitten and an abused Pitbull.

A fiercely independent stray kitten happens to meet an abused Pitbull. Ss director Rosana Sullivan says, "together, they experience friendship for the first time."

The director of the film recalls:

"To be fully honest, it started with a cat video. I love watching cat videos in times of stress. And I thought I want to draw a little kitten doing something silly and very, very cat-like."

"At first, I just wanted to draw something that made me feel good and was fun, but it evolved into something more personal to me. Eventually, I realized that growing up. I was always very sensitive and very shy. And had actually a lot of trouble making connections, making friendships."

"So I related to this kitten because it never really stepped out of its comfort zone to be vulnerable and make a connection. So that's eventually what the story became."

The film starts with a stray, big-eyed kitten wandering around the neighborhood to find refuge in a cardboard box in a back alley. That's when he meets a Pitbull, who suffers from abuse at the hands of his stony-hearted owner.

In many ways, the short animation seems to showcase the stereotypes that dogs face and try to break them, presenting these dogs as good-hearted, unlike many of their owners.

At the beginning of the animation, the stray kitten shies away from the dog due to fear. However, the film later demonstrates the bigheartedness of the pitbull, who saves the stuck kitten.
