Pets are increasingly becoming popular on social media, with thousands of animal lovers waiting for their fellow humans to post another cute photo of them.
Some of these adorable little companions are sometimes even more popular than celebrities and pop stars! In fact, tons of pets have even gained enough following on the internet to earn the coveted title “pet influencer.”
And Maine Coons are among the most beloved and popular feline breeds. Many people adore these majestic cats because of their uniqueness.
MaineCoon.org website states:
“Maine Coon cats get huge, like really HUUUGEE. A lot of people know that the Maine Coon is one of the largest breeds of domestic cats and that the male ones can grow as much as 15-25 pounds. However, there have been Coons who have become known for growing much much larger than that.”
“The Guinness World Record for the longest cat has been awarded to Maine Coon cats Stewie who measured 48.5 inches, and more recently to Ludo who measures around 46 inches.”
Maine Coons have distinctive physical appearances and majestic hunting skills. They’re one of the oldest cat breeds specifically native to the state of Maine, where they’re the official state cat.
Maine Coons tend to be friendly, highly social, playful, and get along very well with other pets and humans, especially children.
Moreover, what highly set them apart from other feline kitties is their unique human-like features.
This has once again been proven when pictures of these “gentle giants” went viral recently on the internet.
A cattery called Catsvill County shared the photos of a litter with 5 adorable grey kittens, and everyone immediately noticed that the beautiful little kittens were looking like grumpy old men!
Although many social media users fell in love with these adorable little kitties, some even confessed they felt creeped out by their realistic human-like faces.
All kittens look quite alike, and they quickly gained a metric butt-ton of attention. Not only because they’re enormously fluffy kittens but also due to their peculiar facial features.
This same cattery also went viral just recently for sharing a pic of a 2-month old kitten called Valkyrie, who looks like he has a human face.
