What better way to lift your moods and spirits when you're having an awful day at work than to play with a feline friend or two? Talk about a stress reliever!

The daily 9-5 routine can sometimes feel monotonous. You wake up at 6.30 am, grab a quick breakfast, hurriedly arrive at the office and sit back at your desk all day.

By the end of the day, you can hardly wait for your clock hand to hit 5, and off you go. You either head home or go to spend the evening out for dinner or some happy hours with your friends. After everything is through, you rush home and sleep. The following day you wake up as usual and follow the same routine all over again.

Someday, you wish there was a diversion at your workplace— something fun that'll take your mind off work, even if it's just for a couple of minutes.

Well, employees at this company in Ohio are so lucky because that's exactly what they got— the Finance/IT Department "hired" two rescue kittens to motivate employees' morale.

Aside from maintaining a healthy work-life balance, pets (either dogs or cats) can also boost morale and reduce unnecessary stress. Obviously, having adorable pets in an office adds a comic relief that can keep your spirits high during office hours.

According to behavioral psychologist Lotte Spijkerman, dogs and cats can be psychologically beneficial to people.

The psychologist explained:

"They reduce stress and increase productivity, mainly because they interact with you of their own accord and, when they pop over to your work station, it's a good reminder that you might need to take a break."

For the same reasons, this company decided to adopt two kittens, as staff of the finance department, appropriately so, they named the two cats Debit and Credit.

And the adorable furry friends have managed not only to delight the employees of the company but the entire internet.

Introduced on social media by one of the company's employees, the sweet kitties were caught on camera hiding under and wrestling with an empty box lid.

Understandably many people wanted to see more of their "hijinks." Debit and Credit now have their own Instagram account with more than 6.2k followers.

The employee who shared the video to Reddit also said that the kittens stay at the office in the evenings but are visited on the "weekends for snuggling and playing."
