No matter how experienced you are, there are always certain highways that people are afraid of, and the Eshima Ohashi Bridge in Sakaiminato, Japan, also known as the 'Rollercoaster Bridge,' is no exception.

With an incline of 6.1 percent (the equivalent of going up or down 6.1 feet in height for every 100 feet in length), this bridge gives even the most experienced drivers heart palpitations.

This bridge connects Matsue in the Shimane Prefecture to Sakaiminato in the Tottori Prefecture over Nakaumi Lake.

It was created to reduce boat traffic while minimizing delays when traveling. What terrifies many is that the structure appears almost vertical when you approach it in a motor vehicle.

Miraculously, there have not been reported accidents on the Eshima Ohashi Bridge, and authorities say any vehicle should be able to safely traverse it.

Officials assure the public that driving across the bridge is really safe and that drivers shouldn't be afraid to make their way across it.

The most terrifying bridge worldwide is the Sidhue River Bridge in China. It's incredibly 460m (1509ft) in height and is the highest bridge in the world.

Suspended across the Sidhue River in the Badong County of the Hubei Province, it stretches more than 1,300m to connect Shanghai and Chendo.
