These ‘Quarantinis’ Are Hilariously Delicious Cocktails For The Self-Isolation Era

Self-isolation and lockdowns are a reality all over the world and it’s not pleasant. Sure, the idea of a break from work sounds nice, but after a few days, it gets frustrating This is especially true since you can’t leave your home. And if you have children, it’s even worse. Spending time cooped up inside with kids is no joke.

If you are lucky and have some cocktail ingredients in your cupboards, there is a fun way to keep yourself busy. This clever solution is taking the world by storm – ‘Quarantinis’.

There are 4 different Quarantinis you can make and they are bound to make your day a little better. They may even make it easier to handle being indoors for so long.

They were concocted by Rosie Himer, who is a mom of two precious girls. She was inspired by the current Coronavirus crisis that has everyone forced to stay in their homes.

The Blue Mask

Aptly named the Blue Mask, this crazy martini is made with party supplies that Rosie had lying around in her house. To make it, combine 29.5 ml (1 oz) of vodka, 29.5 ml (1 oz) of Blue Curacao, 14 ml (0.5 oz) of lime juice and 59 ml (2 oz) of club soda. To make it attractive, rim your glass with Pop Rocks and Frosting.

The Social Distancer

A great idea for relaxing after a hard day, the Social Distancer will perk you up in no time. You’ll need to mix 59 ml (2 oz) of vodka, 44.3 ml (1.5 oz) of lemon juice, 29.5 ml (1 oz) of lemon juice, 29.5 ml (1 oz) of simple syrup (one part water and one part sugar) and a splash of Prosecco. You could rim the glass with sugar for that ‘something special’.

The Baby Boom Maker

With a name like that, how could you resist? For this delightful drink, mix 59 ml (2 oz) of vodka, 29.5 ml (1 oz) of lime juice,  59 ml (2 oz) of pink grapefruit juice and 14 ml (0.5 oz) of syrup. The syrup is optional.

The SOS …I’m Trapped In A House With Kids

This one is for those days when the kids have driven you crazy and you need a stiff one. Basically, mix straight vodka with LaCroix ⁣⁣⁣Sparkling Water. Be careful that you don’t drink too much and end up with a headache the next day!
