Joe Exotic, known as the Tiger King, has announced his engagement to John Graham on social media. Graham served time together with Exotic, and the two fell in love in prison.
The Tiger King is currently serving a 21-year sentence, but he hopes to be able to go through with the marriage soon. The couple has to wait for Exotic's divorce from Dillon Passage to finalize.
The former zookeeper wrote a letter stating:
"Everyone, John Robert Graham and I are officially engaged and plan to marry as soon as my divorce is final. We were together over one year in prison and he is home now with our son. I have never met such an amazing man in my life. He treats me so well, you will love him..."
The news from the couple comes after Exotic split with Passage last year. The couple had been together for four years, and it was the Tiger King's fifth marriage. The pair allegedly met on a dating app.
When the couple parted, Passage shared:
"In November of 2017 I met Joe who was there for me during a difficult time in my life. After just 9 short months he was arrested and, for the last two and a half years, we have been apart. I've always stood by his side and will continue to always love and support him."

He continued:
"I don't feel obligated to explain to the world what occurs in my personal life and, despite Joe taking to social media to air every grievance, I don't feel it's the healthiest way to handle private matters between two people. I therefore don't intend to post any more on this subject."
Exotic got resentenced earlier this year, and his sentence was reduced from 22 to 21 years. He was first convicted in January 2020 of two murder-to-hire counts on Carole Baskin, the Big Cat Rescue CEO. He was also convicted of wildlife violations.
Exotic implored the judge that resentenced him.
"Please don't make me die in prison waiting for a chance to be free."
Carole Baskin followed the proceedings together with her husband, Howard Baskin. She observed:
"He continues to harbor intense feelings of ill will toward me".
