A concerned mother has issued a warning to parents about the dangers of watching Hocus Pocus 2.
According to Jamie Gooch from Texas, this Disney+ film could bring evil spells and even open the gates of hell in their homes.
Hocus Pocus 2 is a sequel to the 1993 cult classic and features stars like Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler, and Kathy Najimy as Salem witches known as the Sanderson Sisters.
Gooch, a mother of three, shared her concerns with KWTX, emphasizing that allowing your children to watch this movie could lead to dire consequences, possibly bringing chaos into your home.
"Everybody thinks it's fake and innocent, but they could be casting any type of spell that they want to, anything could be coming through that TV screen into your home."
"It grieves me, the thought of exposing our kids to darkness."
Gooch, a devout Christian who helps run a farm with her husband, shared that her family hasn't celebrated Halloween for several years. Instead, they choose to celebrate the harvest season.
Halloween has its roots in Samhain, a Gaelic festival marking the end of the autumn harvest.

In a Facebook post that has since been removed but was reported by the Daily Mail, Gooch urged mothers to act as protectors of their homes. She felt compelled to raise awareness about the new movie to safeguard children.
Gooch's words were: "After all, the whole movie is based on harvesting the purity of children's souls so that witches may live on… What is happening when we watch these films?"
"What are we subjecting our minds to? What are we welcoming into the homes of our families?"
Even though the movie is clearly a work of fiction, Gooch thinks that merely watching it might somehow involve viewers in wrongdoing.
According to Gooch: "So before you hit play on the night of the premiere of this movie, please ask yourself if not only your mind, but your children's minds, are strong enough to ward off the hypnotization and bewitching trance that will be coming through your screen to aid the desensitization of the coming evil in this world."
"Don't fall victim to the schemes of hell."
During her chat with KWTX, she claims to have seen how TV shows and movies have had an impact on real-life situations. However, she didn't provide any details about this.
After her post and interview with KWTX, Gooch received a lot of criticism. One Twitter user said: "Doesn't she know the minute a parent condemns something/anything, it piques the curiosity and makes the child even more determined to pursue the condemned thing?"
"Including her own kids and our society at large. Now… where can I find this movie?"
However, there were some individuals who supported Gooch's remarks: "I never watch movies like that. Nothing occult. I don't celebrate death or fear, so I don't celebrate Halloween."
Hocus Pocus 2 has claimed the top spot as the most-watched film on Disney+ in the United States, based on domestic viewing hours in the days following its release.
This sequel to the beloved cult classic currently holds a 6/10 rating on IMDb and a 65 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes.
The film revisits the tale of the Sanderson sisters, Salem witches reincarnated through a mystical book of spells, as they plot their revenge in present-day Massachusetts.
