Terry Crews has officially confirmed that the 'White Chicks 2' sequel is going to happen.
It's been 15 years since the original 'White Chicks' comedy was released in 2004. In the film, both Shawn and Marlon Wayans starred as two disgraced FBI agents who got an undercover assignment as 'White Chicks' to protect a hotel heiress from being kidnapped.
Earlier, there were rumors about a potential sequel for 'White Chicks.' But when Terry recently appeared in an interview on Watch What Happened Live episode with Andy Cohen, he was asked whether there would be a follow-up to our beloved comedy film.
Terry responded:
"I actually got with Shawn, and he was like 'Man we doing it, we're getting it going,' 15 years ago as of this month! I'm staying in shape just for this movie."
Earlier this year, Marlon Wayans told MTV:
"Is White Chicks 2 happening anytime soon? I don't know, but there's been some rumblings happening, and a lot of people want us to do it, so me and my brothers have been talking."
"So, if things go right, we hope to do a White Chicks 2."
When Terry previously appeared on The Talk, he revealed that 'White Chicks 2' could be a pop performance.
He said:
"I think the modern day of 'A Thousand Miles' would be Carly Rae Jepsen 'Call Me Maybe.'"
"I don't know the lyrics, but I would definitely do the whitest white girl song you would ever see."
"But white girls are singing gangster right now, you know what I mean? So, it might be a little different, it might have a little rap thing in there. However we would do it, it'd be great."
Terry had previously hinted about the sequel while speaking to Us Weekly on America's Got Talent red carpet.
He said:
"I would love one. I'm staying in shape for White Chicks 2. I will never get out of shape – you know that, right? I will be 75 and say, 'Here we go, I'm ready to go!' I will never, ever get out of shape because that movie's going to happen one day."
