These days, people will stand by filming or pretending not to notice anything when a weak individual is getting harassed by some jerk in public. However, things were a little different this time after passengers came to the aid of an old man who was getting harassed by a teenager on a Sydney train.

The incident took place in Sydney, Australia, when the youngster tried to attack an elderly man. The senior had asked the teenager to stop using foul language.

The boy put his hands on the man's neck and started choking him to death.

Initially, the boy stood up and told the old man that he was going to "crack" him up. The boy came over to the man and told him to shut up several times.

Other Passengers Stepped Up

Fortunately for the old man, other passengers had had enough of the abusive behavior. Soon, another passenger quickly comes to the old man's aid.

He grabbed the boy by the throat while warning him sternly to stop whatever he was up to.

The boy was so scared that he pooped his pants after the confrontation, which goes to prove just how much of a coward he truly is.

The boy was soon cowering in his seat as other passengers asked him to leave the train. Some shouted expletives at him, with a passenger asking the wayward teenager to try and hit him instead of going after a helpless old man.

It is always frustrating to see a vulnerable person getting harassed or humiliated in public as bystanders watch and film the incident.

However, stories like this offer some hope that there are people who are willing to step up and help the weak at their point of need.

Elderly people should not feel vulnerable in public, but should instead count on getting a helping hand and the respect they deserve.

Unfortunately, many young people today don't seem to understand the need to respect seniors and instead try to take advantage of their vulnerability.
