A former Kentucky substitute middle school teacher charged with raping a 15-year-old boy who used to be her student.

Georgetown police arrested and charged Alexandria Allen, 25, with three counts of third-degree rape.

She has been accused of raping an eighth-grade boy while she was teaching at Royal Spring Middle School in Scott County.

The abuse came to light in October last year after the victim's mom discovered nude pictures and videos of Allen and her son on the boy's phone. She then reported the shocking find to the police.

According to the mom, Allen was her son's tutor at the time of their encounter.

She said:

"I was disgusted because you're supposed to be helping him, and she wasn't helping him at all."

During a forensic interview with police, the boy told cops that he had sex with the teacher. And the alleged rapes happened at three different locations.

The victim also disclosed that one of those rapes took place at the Hilton Inn in Georgetown.

Following the arrest, Allen pleaded not guilty to the charges.

But Georgetown Assistant Police Chief Darin Allgood, who confirmed the arrest, said:

"We're pretty confident in the charges that were brought against her."

Allgood also said investigators are reviewing other evidence, and Allen may face additional charges.

The former teacher is now on a reduced bond of $2,500, and the court has ordered her not to contact the victim.

She's also expected back in court for a preliminary hearing on February 2nd.

Allen has no prior criminal records.

The school had hired her as a substitute teacher in January 2020. According to the school's statement, she's now prohibited from working in any Scott County schools.

A sex offender can face third-degree rape charges if the victim is below 18 years and the defendant is older than 21.

In Kentucky, a third-degree rape charge is considered a class D felony. The charge can carry a sentence of up to 5 years and a fine of up to $10,000.
