Still In Love With Your Toxic Partner And Can’t Let Go? Here’s How To Do It

There are a lot of things you can safely mess around with, but not love. Love can be both a blessing and a curse. Love the wrong person and you will see what hell on earth feels like. Love the right person and your life becomes a beautiful fantasy.

The thing about love is that it lingers, even when we don't want it to. You cannot wish it away just because your partner has turned into a fountain of toxicity.

That can make your life hell, obviously.

Except you got yourself in this situation by falling for the wrong person.

But as they say, love is blind. Blind enough to lead you into the arms of someone bad for you.

Love also does not give up easily. It makes you fight for something you should have let go of long ago. You keep going back to a lover who exploits and hurts you.

And the pain mounts. And the harder you fight, the greater the pain becomes. And when the pain is too much, you lack even the strength to save yourself.

But there are ways around this. There is a way you can save yourself from a toxic partner you still love.

1. Don't Wait For Your Lover To Change

People in toxic relationships expect their partners to change. However hopeful you might be, understand that this rarely happens. That is not how life works. People change because they want to, and you cannot impose this on them. So, stop trying to force your partner to change. It's just not worth it.

2. Cry If You Have To

Crying is therapeutic as it will help you forget the pain you suffered. We'd all want to be strong when dealing with difficult situations, and we can pretend to be. But don't do it when you know that you are dying on the inside. So, cry your heart out and let the tears flow so you can heal.

3. Teach Yourself To Let Go

A relationship that is not working will eventually die off. Yes, even when there is a lot of love and effort. What's meant to be can withstand anything, but what isn't will never be. So, let go as soon as you realize that your relationship is not working. It will take some inner strength, but it can be done.

4. Know That There Will Be Pain

It's never easy breaking up, however, deserved the breakup is. This might very well be the hardest thing you ever did in your life.

Your heart will be broken, and your hopes and dreams might be dashed. However, you will also learn an important lesson. You will understand that everything happens for a reason, and that not everything is meant to be.

5. Realize That You Deserve A Lot Better

You can love with all you got. But at the end of the day, you still deserve the best. You deserve happiness and freedom, otherwise, the love you have will lead you nowhere. Spend that time improving yourself and loving yourself. You deserve it.

You also have to protect yourself and your feelings so you can give the best of yourself to the right person when they come along.

6. Take Your Time

You are not living on anyone's time. So, take all the time you need to heal. Obviously, there will be people who care about you and love you. Focus on the positivity they bring into your life and you should be fine.

You are stronger than you know. Believe in yourself because you can do it. It will be hard, and there might be some tears, but you can get through this. You WILL get through this.
