Sometimes I wonder why I go crazy for all things banana. But then, I find myself worrying about something more pressing...
This time, it was the limited edition Banana Pudding Shake by the Sonic Drive-In.
If you haven't heard of this delectable treat, you better make plans to go and get yourself one. You have no idea what you are missing.
I'll share with you a little secret: when I moved to a location that didn't have any Sonic close by, I was totally bummed. The closest location was about half an hour away, but that wasn't going to hold back my cravings.
Obviously, I was more than willing to go on a little road trip whenever Sonic had a new exciting menu item. Long story short: this delicious Banana Pudding Shake was certainly worth a trip to the establishment.
I honestly have no idea what you are doing with your life if you haven't tried having a banana pudding. In this special treat are many flavors, including ripe bananas, Nilla Wafers, and vanilla pudding.
The three beloved flavors come together perfectly in this menu item to make an amazing mouthwatering combo that's yummy enough to bring tears to my eyes.
I love that Sonic is willing to take the humble and yet irresistible banana pudding and turn it into an amazing creamy delight.
According to Scott Uehlein, the vice president of product innovation and development for Sonic, this pudding:
"Captures the nostalgia experience of making banana pudding in the kitchen with family in each creamy sip."
Scott couldn't have described this treat better: he explained that the pudding offers a "smooth blend of banana pudding flavor and real ice cream to the dreamy taste of fresh bananas and classic bites of NILLA Wafers." I couldn't agree more.
As amazing as this pudding is, you can obviously add your own twist to the delectable Banana Pudding Shake. For instance, you can throw in some bit of chocolate and strawberry for a more flavorful taste.
My only complaint is that this pudding won't be around for long.
So, you should get to Sonic as soon as you can, as these shakes will be on the menu until August 29. You better hurry if you don't want to miss out on this delicious goodness.
