We can all agree that we have a soft spot for hilarious road signs, which is why many people are thankful to Vince The Sign Guy for putting the Indian Hills community on the map with his incredible one-liners.

The signs feature puns, funny jokes, dad jokes, and everything in between. According to Vince Rozmiarek, it all began a couple of years ago:

"It all began 5 years ago, on April Fool's Day, when I put up a street sign that stirred up the area."

It is not just his native Indian Hills community that finds the signs amusing, but the online world as well. A Facebook page devoted to the signs keeps getting more followers.

The page has garnered almost 200k likes. In particular, the Indian Hills Community Sign has turned into one of the most loved road signs on the internet.

According to Vince, the goal is to share "puntastic humor to lighten your world." He has made this statement on his website.

However, it is not just Vince's jokes that get to see the light of the day. Anyone can submit their jokes and end up on the increasingly popular board.

Indian Hills is a small community in Jefferson County, and Vince has lived there for over a decade. Several years ago, he volunteered at the community center, and he was given the job of making a new sign for announcements, weddings, and so forth.

On April Fool's day, he decided to change things up a bit by posting a joke. That started the hilarious history of funny jokes the community is increasingly famous for today.

For instance, at a popular speed trap near Highway 285 in Morrison, he put up the sign "Indian Hills annexed by Morrison, SLOW DOWN."

Vince remembers what happened when he first got down this path. One of the calls he got was from the police, who wanted to know what was happening.

He told them that it was a prank for Fool's Day, and they thanked him and said they just wanted to know what to tell the people.

Vince has also had a chance to speak to the media about his creative sense of humor. He confessed that his proudest sign was a July 2017 sign which claimed, "Cows have hooves because they lactose."

Apparently, he even laughs today when he remembers the joke. He went on to categorically state that the joke "didn't offend any cows."

After the reception he got for his first jokes, he decided to put up some puns and jokes a few times every week. However, it is not all about humor: he tries to blend the one-lines with the holidays and current events.
