Single Or Not, I'm The Most Important Person In My Life, And I Won't Apologize For It

Single Or Not, I’m The Most Important Person In My Life, And I Won’t Apologize For It

It's all about me!

No, seriously, it should be all about You, despite your relationship status, and here's all you need to know. To embrace the perfection called You!

The age-old question comes to mind – how selfish am I? By not apologizing and wasting time making excuses, I'm more open to new experiences and new people. And way less judgmental.

Is that selfish? Nope, that's clever!

Putting yourself first is an overall victory, and people who love you will realize that. But first, you have to convince yourself to put yourself on that pedestal and worship the ground you walk on!

Relationship Status Doesn't Define You

Are you single AF, and you plan to keep it that way? Perhaps you're looking, or you're happily coupled up.

The thing is that having a boyfriend or a girlfriend is terrific, and being in love is the best. But to make that whole relationship work, you have to love and bet on yourself.

To be hopelessly devoted to yourself will make you better for your romantic partners. You will know where "you" end and "we" begins.

There's no BS about being two bodies and one mind. Nope, you're mature and capable adults, and you know when to compromise and when to say, "Nah, I'm good."

Be The One Who Refuses To Apologize For Me Time

single or not, i'm the most important person in my life, and i won't apologize for it

Your alone time means that instead of listening to someone's silly stories or doing something because you have to, you decided to show some appreciation for "the most magical person in my life." That's you, silly!

I love to go window shopping, and I don't give a chuck if you have a problem with that. It inspires me, and you can't judge me. Well, you can, but you have better things to do.

Find your passions, hobbies, show yourself that you care. And in the process, you will become a better person because you'll stop paying attention to others. And you'll stop judging them.

Saying Sorry Is Overrated Anyway

You won't isolate yourself if you're your own best friend. That's the great thing about being devoted to the magic of you.

If your bestie is having a tough time, you won't rush to her, leaving your oven on. Instead, you'll be proactive and say something like, "I'll see you at five. That's when you will have my complete attention."

Instead of pretending to listen, you will take the time to be there for people you love. But, under your conditions.

There's a time and a place for everything, and that's the beauty of putting yourself first. You will know when and how to deal with life's situations.

Better Selfish Than Miserable

single or not, i'm the most important person in my life, and i won't apologize for it

When you put others ahead of yourself, you will give bad advice and feel guilty for it. It's a circle of misery because always pleasing others is exhausting.

Yup, be selfish, practice self-love, and you will be a happier and more productive person. And the more you invest in yourself, the better you'll be. At what? Well, whatever you choose to be.

Accepting responsibility that you should not express any regrets over choosing yourself will give you a sense of self and freedom.

Really, do you need more to stop apologizing and start accepting yourself?

No More Silent Treatment From Toxic Friends

Eventually, your new-found self-respect will lead to discovering the people who love for being you.

Perhaps you'll realize and express regret over how you mistreated them to satisfy all the people you had in your life. You will have enough time to understand your true nature better, and often, you'll wonder about your real friends.

You'll ask yourself some seemingly weird questions, like

"Should I apologize for something that happened years ago?" or"

How do you apologize to someone who doesn't want to talk to you?"

And the thing is that your new-found sense of self will give you answers. How? When you trust yourself and practice self-love, your instincts are more accurate than ever.

Sincere Apologies To My Former Self

Before you start your new journey, you should apologize to one person only. Yourself!

Request forgiveness for all the times you put everyone else's above your needs. Apologize for saying that you're not good enough or responsible for every bad situation ever.

Build up your sense of self, promoting healthy self-esteem, self-confidence, and finally, self-love. Listen to yourself, express regret, and move on.

Once you're done facing your past regrets, it's time to look into the future.

Move Forward Because There's No Other Way.

I won't apologize for saying that I am the only person that can make me happy. Instead, I'll start accepting responsibility for my decisions and always try to be good to myself.

Saying sorry is a waste of time, either way. So, why bother? Fix things, and you'll know-how, as you get to know the real you. The YOU behind all the obligations and all the messes which are part of your everyday life.

Think about your future, make plans, and include only people who bring joy into your existence. Forget people who are draining you or giving you silent treatment any time you have better things to do than to listen to them whine.

In fact, why not share wisdom with them, and let them know that they, too, should put themselves in the first place. Because when you're on top of your list of priorities, you won't feel the need to brag, gossip, or create drama.

Your romantic partners will notice that you're growing, so you might inspire them to follow you. Or, you'll attract someone great into your life. Who knows?

Life's full of possibilities, so instead of giving sincere apologies, start giving people hope and a simple realization. No one should be afraid to put themselves first!
