When a teen in Florida discovered that nobody believed it when she accused her dad of abusing her as well as her pet dog, she decided it was time to get some proof. By installing security cameras, she recorded the disturbing case of abuse for all to see.
The man, 47-year-old Damon Becnel, was later arrested. He faced charges of child abuse and animal cruelty.
His arrest was based on the daughter's secret video of him carrying out the abuses in their home. In fact, the video was the smoking gun the authorities needed to arrest the man and pursue a conviction.
After the recording, the girl took the video to the police. Finally, it proved beyond doubt that the man was a vicious monster behind closed doors.

This particular incident began when the girl tried to get in the way when Benel threatened to harm the family dog. He vowed to cut the dog's eyeballs out and "strangle the mother f****r."
I will cut this (expletives) dog's eyeballs out, I'll (expletive) do it.
He made real his threat by picking up the helpless animal by the neck before slamming it to the ground.
At this point, the girl had seen enough and tried to get in the way to protect her pet.
The violent man then turned his attention to her and grabbed her by the hair. He then pushed her.
Becnel then hit the girl's head on the headboard of the bed. But still, he wasn't done with her yet.
While still grabbing her hair, the man started screaming at his daughter before headbutting her.
Becnel Has Always Been Abusive, But No One Believed It
Allison Tringas, the girl's mother, said that both she and her daughter had unsuccessfully tried in the past to get authorities involved due to Becnel's abuses.
However, no one would take them seriously. It was only after the girl filmed him in the act that the police finally got involved:
Nothing was done. Nothing has ever been done to help my daughter…She absolutely knew that something bad was going to happen and nobody would believe her unless she had that on film.
After the arrest, the man was let out on a $4,000 bail on condition that he could not have any contact with his daughter, the victim. The Chief Assistant State Attorney William Bishop also said this:
We have assigned this case to an experienced prosecutor who specializes in child abuse matters, she would be the assistant state attorney responsible for the prosecution. We intend to aggressively prosecute this case.
Here's the disturbing video. Be warned, it's graphic.
