The 'Venom' star is rumored to have been cast as the charming M16 agent after Daniel Craig's exit.

It's not uncommon for any popular British actor who has recently been in hot-shot movies to be rumored to star as James Bond.

Even a few ladies have been said to be eager to play a female Bond.

Hardy's Been a Favourite For Years

For a long time now, Hardy has been considered a favorite for the role, and stories about confirmation spread like wildfire recently.

According to reports, Tom was given the role way back in June after a successful audition.

Apparently, in November, it was to be revealed that Tom Hardy is the next Bond, but this has been pushed back because of the Coronavirus pandemic.

'No Time To Die' - Daniel's last time playing the iconic role - is still set to be released in November.

Tom has made no secret about his desire to be the next 007. However, he refuses to talk about it openly for fear of being 'blacklisted.'

According to Tom, if you talk about it, you're out of the race. With that in mind, the actor will not be commenting on the rumors any time soon.

He is no stranger to action-packed films and showed his mettle in films such as 'Mad Max: Fury Road' and 'Venom.'

Backing Other Celebs

Tom may be eager to play the role, but he wouldn't mind seeing someone else take the honor.

Christopher Nolan, who has worked with Tom in the past, is one actor he thinks would make a fine spy.

No wonder he has so many fans - the actor doesn't seem to have a selfish bone in his body.
