A Mexican rapper has been bragging about being the first person in the world to have genuine gold chains as hair. Images and videos of the rapper have since gone viral.

The attention-hungry artist is known as Dan Sur, and he explained that he had gold hooks inserted into his head. From there, he purchased several gold chains, which he attached to the hooks to create the impression that he had gold hair, giving him an extreme and rare look.
Dan Sur also wanted to have a 'straight out of jewelry store' look.

In one of his videos, the rapper explained that his wish was to do something different. After seeing that other people often chose to dye their hair, he did not wish to copy them but instead had gold chains implanted into his head.
Apparently, the hooks are implanted into his head into the skull under the skin.

"This is my hair. Golden hair. The first rapper to have gold hair implanted in human history."
Before the dramatic transformation, this is what Dan Sur looked like:

Based on these photos, Dan Sur had a more traditional look.

Right before the transformation, the rapper had braids.
According to media reports, the 23-year-old rapper underwent surgery in April of 2021.
Some sources claim that the look was inspired by rapper Lil Uzi Vert, who had a $24 million pink diamond earlier in the year embedded into his forehead.
However, a fan ripped the gem right out of his face during a music festival. Fortunately, he was able to jump into the crowd and get it back.
Therefore, Dan Sur should be careful how close he gets to some of his fans with gold chains hanging all over his face. However, his hope at the moment is that people will not feel inclined to imitate his look.
