We all know that chefs need to be able to think outside the box. For sure, cooking is a refined form of art that requires tons of creativity.
A true cook knows how to get the right flavor, even if the tools available are not quite ideal. Just like this one chef, who made restaurant-like dishes while stuck in his hotel room.
Cooking While In Quarantine

Jago Randles is a chef from the United Kingdom who recently moved to Canada for work. Due to COVID-19 regulations, he had to be in quarantine after the flight.
That is why, before starting his new job in British Columbia, the chef had some spare time on his hands. Naturally, he decided to use it for trying some yummy recipes.
Stuck in his hotel room, however, the tools available were not quite professional. Far from discouraged, Randles turned to his inventive side.
Introducing 'Isolation Kitchen'

Where can you find a person with lots of free time and creative ideas? Why on TikTok, of course.

The chef created 'Isolation Kitchen', his own culinary one-man-show. There, he conquered legions of fans and went viral with 5.5 million views on his first video.

Randles used the few utensils he had with him, as well as hotel appliances, to prepare mouth-watering recipes. He then shared the whole process on social media, just in case we want to try it too.

Making-do With A Clothes Iron

Many of us will be surprised at the unusual way a clothes iron can be used. For one, we surely never thought of grilling fish or cooking eggs on it.

While a kettle might be more at home in the kitchen, the chef did not follow the instruction manual here either. In fact, he used the tool to boil his veggies.
The end result is probably more inviting than most of our homemade dinners. A well-balanced dish with fish, egg noodles, and greens is nothing less than we expect from a professional chef.
Surely, many of us will be tempted to imitate these experiments. Just be careful not to burn down the house.
