Piers Morgan Doesn't Believe Meghan Was Suicidal

Piers Morgan has not hidden his ill feelings towards Meghan Markle, especially after the famous Oprah interview in which Harry and Meghan revealed how badly they were treated as part of the royal family.

However, many people believe he crossed the line by saying he does not believe that Meghan was telling the truth when she claimed during the Oprah interview that she was suicidal.

He went on to ask if it was too late to nominate her for an Oscar for her "performance."

Trashing Claims

According to Piers Morgan, Harry and Meghan have trashed Harry's dad, his brother, sister-in-law, and "everything the Queen has worked so hard for."

He went on to tweet about Harry, claiming he "wants America and the rest of the world to hate his own family, hate the monarchy and hate his country."

He suggested that everyone should wait for the "victims of his wife's rampage to have their say on her outlandish claims."

In the interview with Oprah, Meghan explained that she battled suicidal thoughts when she was 5 months pregnant. She even turned to the HR department at the palace for assistance, but none was forthcoming.

Reaching Out To A Friend

Since she was not getting the help she needed from those who could offer it, she reached out to Princess Diana's friend. She confessed that "she didn't know who to turn to."

Meghan recalled a time when Harry and she had to attend an event at the Royal Albert Hall. Harry told her she did not have to join him at the event, but she told him she could not be left alone.

When they attended the event, she sat in the dark crying when the lights went down as Harry held her hand.

However, Piers Morgan seems to have a problem with anything Meghan says. In a tweet, he claimed that he could not believe Meghan Markle "if she gave me the weather report."

According to Morgan, Prince Harry and his wife spent two hours "trashing everything the Queen stands for." All the while, the two were "pretending to support her."

Apparently, they did this to the queen "while her 99yr-old husband Philip is seriously ill in the hospital. It's contemptible."

Trisha Goddard Takes On Piers Morgan

Many have praised Trisha Goddard for taking down Piers Morgan during the Good Morning Britain show. At the time, they were talking about Meghan's claims that a senior royal was concerned about the baby's skin tone.

According to Morgan, it was worth considering if a conversation about how dark Archie's skin would be should be regarded as "automatically racist."

Goddard then replied:

"Why is everybody else such an expert about racism against Black people. I'm sorry Piers – you don't get to call out what is and isn't racism against Black people."

The Backlash

After his comments, Piers has found himself facing a lot of backlash on International Women's Day. Many viewers were not happy with his comments.

A Twitter user sarcastically tweeted:

"Well done Piers. On International women's day, what could be more fun for you than continuing to bash a heavily pregnant woman who has just confessed to mental health issues and contemplating suicide."

Another person was confused by Piers take on the whole issue:

"Did we watch the same interview? They told their side of the story in the most respectful way that they possibly could. One can only go so far in doing so when your own 'family' strips you of your protection and discriminates against your unborn mixed child."

In the end, a lot of people called on ITV to sack Piers over his distasteful comments.

Other people pointed out how comments such as those made by the TV show host could cause damage to others:

Do you think Piers Morgan should have been more careful with his comments about Meghan Markle's confessions about the struggles she went through while living in the royal palace?
