In Hollywood, male celebrities are known for dating young, gorgeous models, often half their age.
It is a well-known cliché, and you might think that the hunk and famous actor Pierce Brosnan have fallen into this category.

The truth is his beloved wife Keely is almost his age. She is only ten years younger than him, and yes, in Hollywood, this is considered a small age gap! People might be surprised that she is not a size zero either.
The couple met at a party in Mexico where Keely was working as a TV correspondent covering the event.
She had a work assignment to interview famous actor Ted Danson, but Pierce Brosnan instead drew her attention.
"He was captivating. Tall, dark, and handsome, everything that everybody would immediately be attracted to," Keely told the magazine People in 2001.

The two of them instantly connected, and maybe it was just what Brosnan needed at the time.
The famous actor had experienced tragedy when his wife Cassandra passed away from ovarian cancer, and he was still mending from the painful memories.
The widowed actor was left to raise his stepchildren, Chris and Charlotte, alone. However, soon he would get help to mend his broken heart.

"Keely has always been kind and compassionate and encouraged me to mourn Cassie," Pierce explained during an interview with The Sun.
"I think of her all the time. I suppose Keely is my North Star, always looking out for me."
The two became a couple in 1994, and the happy family grew three years later. On January 13, 1997, Keely gave birth to their son Dylan, and on February 27, 2001, the family welcomed their second son Paris.

Being a present dad for his stepchildren as well as the family's new children has always been a priority for Brosnan since he grew up without a father. He cherishes every moment of being a dad.
As we all know, pregnancy and caring for newborns is not easy on the body, which is no different for celebrities.

After the birth of her children, Keely put on some extra weight, which is rarely accepted in the superficial world of Hollywood.
People were not late to comment on her changing figure, and some even wondered why Brosnan wanted to stay with her.

Luckily, the Irish-born actor quickly defended his wife and explained that the love they share is unconditional. Their strong connection goes well beyond superficial looks, and the number on the scale will never change that.

One of the internet attacks came from the Teen Mom reality star Jenelle Evans. The reality personality posted two pictures of Keely and her husband on the beach and tried to make it into a meme.

The two pictures were taken 20 years apart, and you can see how the couple changed over time.
Evans captioned the photo "This is us" and tagged her husband, David Eason.
"We do not look that fat," Eason plumply commented.
His wife took the joke one step further with her reply, "Close to it," followed by a laughing emoji.
The jokes did not amuse Facebook users, and the couple faced fierce backlash. Even Facebook decided to intervene and gave them both a temporary ban.

However, Evans was not the only one who expressed opinions over Keely's weight gain. Brosnan shared that close friends had reached out and offered to help with weight loss surgery.
Brosnan disagreed with their advice since he loves his wife's body, and there is nothing he wishes to change. His message to everyone having a problem with Keely's body is genuinely inspiring.
"I strongly love every curve of her body... She is the most beautiful woman in my eyes... And also because she had our five children..."

"In the past, I truly loved her for her person, not only for her beauty, and now I'm loving her even more that she is my children's mother," he continued.
"And I am very proud of her, and I always seek to be worthy of her love."
The amount of support and unconditional love Brosnan shows for his wife is heartwarming. Keely must feel so proud of her knight in shining armor.
Their story proves that there really is true love in Hollywood, not only on the big screen.
