A Danish photographer posts photo of himself having sex with a woman on top of the Great Pyramid of Giza.

Andreas Hvid posted the graphic snap on his website, and it shows him an unidentified woman in a sexual position while entirely naked.

Andreas also uploaded a video of himself and the woman climbing to the top of the 4,500-year-old pyramid at night.

On reaching the top, they start smoking and then apparently taking off their clothes.

Alongside the video, Andreas wrote:

A friend and I climbed the Great Pyramid of Giza (a.k.a. Pyramid of Khufu, Pyramid of Cheops).

Fearing [guards spotting me], I did not film the several hours of sneaking around at the Giza Plateau, which lead up to the climb.

He also shared a link to his website, which shows the explicit picture.

Even though authorities allow tourists into the Pyramids every day, they prohibit climbing surrounding structures.

So, as soon as Andreas posted the video and the photos, authorities began an investigation.

The fact that he and his partner climbed to the top of the structure isn't the only reason authorities were offended.

The thing that ticked them off was the naked photos Andreas uploaded to his site.

He describes what he does on the website as 'Urban Exploration, Nude Art, Travel Stuff.'

Social media users also slammed the photographer, describing his photos and video as' disrespectful.'

One person said:

In my opinion, the nude stuff is very disrespectful and ignorant.

Another added:

After thousands of years of evolution, some idiots have chosen to revert to an animal that doesn't respect history or culture.

While another said:

On behalf of historians and archaeologists everywhere, I hope you both end up in jail.

Like most things, however, some social media users praised Andreas for his actions.

I'll admit, as a fellow Adventurer, I am jealous.

Not many people can say they have been to the top of the great pyramids. Your Nude Art shots are also strikingly beautiful.

Another said:

I'm Egyptian, and I envy you. I'll probably live my whole life and never get a chance to climb on top of the Pyramids watching my town from above.

Anyone who is offended by this video, I am still waiting for your argument on why this is so wrong.

Of all man-made wonders of the world, the Great Pyramid of Giza is one of the oldest.

It is also the largest of the three structures that sit proudly just outside the city limit of El Giza, Egypt.

According to historians from around the world, the structure was built around 2560 BC. Also, it took between 10 and 20 years to complete.
