Have you ever taken or seen a perfect picture? Most of us have probably discussed what entails a ‘perfect’ photo at some point in our lives, but it’s just a matter of opinion in many cases.
Once in a while, however, you see a photo that’s so outstanding, beautiful, and well captured that the only way you could describe it as ‘perfect.’
That’s the case with this picture, and it’s not only our opinion, thousands of people online think so too.
The picture is of a bald eagle named Bruce and was taken by Steve Biro. He has been taking photos of bald eagles for quite some time. And in this particular instance, his focus was entirely on Bruce.
Biro was on his second visit to the Canadian Raptor Conservancy in Ontario, hoping to capture some good reflection shots of Bruce, which is the resident bald eagle.
The last time he visited the park, the water was quite rippled, and he didn’t get the images he had hoped for.
This time, the results were spectacular.
As the eagle swooped right at him, he captured a perfectly symmetrical reflection of the bird in the water below.
Biro told MNN:
“I definitely rank it as my top image and did not know when I shot it how it had turned out.”
“It was only later when I went through my images and cropped in closer on him did I realize how perfect it looked with him squared off perfectly and staring daggers at me.”
Biro had every intention of taking a perfect shot of Bruce as he was flying over the water. He realized at that time that Bruce wasn’t all that happy with where he was set up.
The “serious amateur photographer” said:
“I had decided to get down close to the water on a rock at the edge, and he was, I think, annoyed with me being so close. He flew towards me, staring at me often, and then a couple of times definitely close enough for me to feel a breeze. Others in the group were commenting on how close he came.”
“He was staring quite a bit at me, and when I moved away from the rock to get some pics of him landing, he swooped straight to it as if to say, ‘This is my territory, pal.'”
Biro has been surprised at all the attention the photo has received on Instagram and Facebook. It even made it to the front page on Reddit.
He expressed his excitement:
“The response has been completely overwhelming and unexpected, I knew the image was good, but it just seems to strike a chord and resonate with so many people. I’m humbled and thankful by all the love and comments and likes given.”
“It warms my heart to know I might bring joy to people who may not even be able to leave the house and that they love to see the world through my eyes.”
