MCU's Phase 4 created quite a buzz in 2021 after releasing four feature films and five Disney+ TV shows. Still, one big mystery remains.
People wonder what Samuel L. Jackson's character, Nick Fury, is doing aboard a spaceship.
He was seen in the puzzling setting in post-credits for Spider-Man: Far From Home. Calmly, the barefooted Fury asks, "Who's got my shoes?"
In the latest Spider-Man movie, Nick Fury was absent, but the one thing said about him was that he was "off-planet."

Still, it was unclear which character knew that Fury had been away from earth for more than a year.
Previously, Marvel revealed that Secret Invasion, a T.V. series, would premiere on Disney+ in 2022. The sight of Fury in space is one of the mysteries Secret Invasion raises.
The show is about Skrull imposters of Avengers. In all likelihood, Fury will be the person dealing with the imposters in the show.
Over the length of Spider-Man: Far From Home, Fury was being impersonated by Skrull leader Talos and his wife, Soren. Some fans concluded that the two imposters were under instructions from the real Nick Fury to hand over the E.D.I.T.H. glasses to Tom Holland as Tony Stark wanted.
According to the comics, Fury established S.W.O.R.D., which was meant to handle threats from space. However, the organization already exists in MCU.
There is also a big possibility that Fury will be in Ms. Marvel and the upcoming Disney+ show. The show will be directly connected to The Marvels, which will be the sequel to 2019's Captain Marvel.
In the film, Fury remained the main point of contact for Captain Marvel. Therefore, it makes sense that he would be a significant part of many upcoming MCU stories.
