Machine Gun Kelly posted some confusing photos, and this time they do not involve drinking Megan Fox's blood.

The controversial artist showed up naked, sans tattoos. There is a good reason for his Instagram post as Machine Gun Kelly is promoting his new movie, Good Mourning.

Though it appears as if he removed his tattoos, they are simply covered with (plenty of) makeup.

The movie came out on May 20th, and it follows the life of London Clash, "a movie star whose world is turned upside down when he must choose between pursuing his one true love and landing a life-changing, starring role in a major motion picture."

MGK's love interest is played by his real-life lover, Megan Fox.

Pete Davison, Dove Cameron, and Amber Rose also appear in the film.

Speaking about Fox, his future wife, Machine Gun Kelly, said he would "always collaborate with Megan." The musician and actor added, "I'm madly in love with her — and I'm also a fan," People reports.

Here is Machine Gun Kelly in his natural state:

The artist shared photos adding he did "5 whole sit-ups (and 200 blunts) to prep for my role in Good Mourning."

Of course, people were confused with the photos, not because MGK is naked, but as one Instagram user wrote, "you look extra naked without the tattoos."

Some were not happy about the signs, writing, "y'all remember 30 seconds ago when we didn't see that first pic?"

This is an interesting comparison: "You all look like characters from the movie with Howie Mandel called Little monsters."

And some thought it was real: "Oh snap, no tattoos! Congrats!"

If you want to see MGK minus the tattoos, you can check out the movie in select cinemas, Amazon and Itunes now.
