For the first time, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson endorsed a presidential candidate, and all hell broke loose.

Just five weeks before the elections, Johnson posted his statements on Instagram and Twitter, calling himself "registered independent with centrist ideologies." He then continued explaining that Joe Biden and Camilla Harris are the best choices to lead the USA, and his republican fans weren't there for it.

The Rock, who has been one of the highest-earning actors in the past decade, dedicated two videos to the upcoming elections. The former WWE Champion actually talked to Biden and Harris. He gave his followers a chance to understand his decision; however, the reactions were not pretty.

The Rock talks to Biden and Harris

The Rock asked how they would earn the country's respect. Joe Biden answered: "By keeping our word. By leveling with the American people. By taking responsibility … That sounds so basic, but the American people are strong; they're tough. They can take anything if you level with them and tell the truth." Camilla Harris added: "Truth can sometimes be really difficult to hear, for that reason sometimes people don't speak it. But you cannot have trust if you don't speak the truth," she concluded.

Since the whole country is divided, the actor's Instagram and Twitter exploded. Some former fans called him a Hollywood puppet. Others reminded him that he should've known better than to publicly support one of two major parties in the USA. It didn't help that the actor stated that he voted for the Democrats and the Republicans in the past.

Though his posts were carefully crafted, the fans took it badly. But, at least he tried. The former wrestler and actor declared: "Now, I've got friends in all parties, and the one thing that we can always agree on is the conversation and the dialogue, and where that conversation lands is always the most critical part."

Dwayne's approval meant disapproval

Talking about the fact that he has never publicly endorsed the election candidates before, Johnson said: "This is something that I've certainly not done in the past, so I'm going to go big. You guys know me; if I go, I go big."

And that's the truth; he got the most significant disapproval from the Republican party's supporters since the elections in 2016. People are still writing comments, so we are keeping an eye on the Rock's Instagram. And you know that we would be having the same conversation if he endorsed Donald Trump.

The Rock started the video: "We are approximately five weeks away from election day - arguably the most critical election day our country has seen in decades." What we do see is that the Rock caused one of the biggest Instagram fights since forever. And it further shows just how divided the States are.

Would you react similarly as the Rock's former fans did if your favorite star supported a party you're against? Or do you think that this is a major overreaction? Let's wait and see how many fans The Rock will lose in the upcoming days.
