People Are Now Claiming That Snow White's True Love's Kiss Was Not Consensual

California's Disneyland has been shut down for over a year. Thankfully, the fun venue is now open, and people couldn't be happier.
People were overjoyed to enter the park for the first time in a very long time.
However, a week had hardly gone by before a new ride became a source of heated controversy.
So, it's not just the wicked queen in Snow White who is up to something sinister. Some critics have come out to demonstrate their anger towards the revamped Snow White ride in Disneyland, California.
The older ride was known as Snow White's Scary Adventures. However, the new ride is intended to show the happily ever after that was part of the original film.
The new Snow White's Enchanted Wish ride at Disneyland has apparently angered critics because the kiss shown during the ride is not consensual for one simple reason: Snow White was asleep when it happened.
According to SFGate reviewers, the kiss the Disney princess gets comes without consent while she is sleeping. Therefore, that means that the kiss "cannot possibly be true love" because the princess has no idea what is going on.
However, in the film, the princess was dead due to an evil Queen's curse. The true love kiss is the only thing that brought her back.
The reviewers noted that consent had been a major issue in Disney movies, and that needs to change. They argued that the establishment teaches kids that kissing before both parties have agreed to it is okay.
According to these people, Disney should be teaching kids that kissing should be consensual.
The critics fail to understand why, in the twenty-first century, Disneyland would make the decision to include a scene that has such an old-fashioned concept about what a man can do to a woman.
They wondered why Disney would make this mistake at a time when they are doing away with controversial scenes from popular rides such as the Jungle Cruise and Splash Mountain.
That makes us wonder: is the Snow White film the next to get cancelled?
Disney is no stranger to controversy, especially in this century. Hopefully, their apparent willingness to embrace the changing tides of time will ensure they get out of this tricky situation as well.
