Pedophile Who Abused 5-Year-Old Boy Found Dead In His Prison Cell Just Weeks Into His Sentence

A recent incident at HMP Bullington prison, Oxfordshire, proves that everybody despises pedophiles. A child molester was murdered in his prison cell, just weeks into his six-and-a-half-year jail sentence for sexually abusing a young boy.

Daniel Davey, 22, was found guilty of abusing a young boy multiple times when the boy was five and six.

Davey's crimes were appalling as he abused the boy six times, within an 18 months period, between 2015 and 2016.

This former McDonald's worker was sentenced to prison on December 1, 2017, but was found dead at HMP Bullingdon prison on January 12, 2018.

At the time of Davey's death, HMP Bullington prison, located near Bicester, had around 1,109 adults and young adults. And Davey didn't survive long enough in the presence of his inmates.

The sickening abuse was uncovered after the primary school age boy spoke out to his mom in August 2016 and informed her that he wanted to tell her "something dirty."

The boy's parents called the police, who examined and spoke to the child. While assessing the boy's clothing, they discovered Davey's DNA traces in the little kid's underwear.

During the court trial, prosecutor Charles Thomas revealed that Davey would perform oral sex on the youngster while babysitting.

The court also heard that on one occasion, Davey's girlfriend saw an image in Davey's computer showing a man sexually molesting a 13-year-old child.

The girlfriend tried to confront him about the distressing pictures, but Davey claimed that he had received the image from someone else, who sent it to him as a joke.

But by the time of his arrest, Davey had managed to delete the image, Thomas told the court.

Though Davey denied three counts of sexually abusing the child, he was found guilty of touching the boy's bottom.

He was then ordered to register as a sex offender and serve a lifetime Sexual Harm Protection Order, in addition to the 78 months sentence.

During the sentencing, detective Graham Mansell didn't hold back his feelings regarding Davey's crimes.

Mansell said:

"Davey's depravity drove him to systematically abuse this very young boy at least six times over an 18-month period."

"I'd like to thank the victim for his bravery in coming forward, along with his family, and recounting what is obviously a distressing time in his life."

The detective added:

"I would like to take this opportunity to encourage anyone who may have been a victim of sex abuse to report it to the police."

A few weeks into Davey's sentence, he was found dead in his cell. A spokesperson for the Ministry of Justice announced that Davey's death was under investigation by the Prison Service Ombudsman.

Until now, it hasn't been revealed what caused Davey's death or who did it. But multiple reports stated that the inmates at HMP Burlington prison weren't happy when they learned that Davey was a child molester.

So, they took the matter in their own hands and decided Davey's 78 months sentence wasn't justice enough.
