Nursing homes usually offer their elderly residents some entertainment in the form of activities to keep their spirits up.

However, one care home for military veterans in Taiwan might have offered their elderly too much excitement when they decided to hire a stripper to perform for them. The staff members have since announced that they are" very sorry."

The Taoyuan Veterans Home in Taiwan decided to hire an adult entertainer in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival or Moon Festival. This fall festival focuses on rice and wheat harvests.

The footage, which was filmed by an attendee and later uploaded to social media, shows many elderly residents sitting in their wheelchairs while the stripper dances in front of them.

The unusual video quickly attracted attention from the netizens and went viral.

The performance began with the adult entertainer lying on the floor, moving sensually and straddling the air in front of the seniors.

She then gave one of the residents who use wheelchairs a lap dance, and the older man looked like he was having the time of his life.

He probably thought he had gone to paradise when the girl started to bounce up and down in front of him and let him touch her breasts through the bra.

Cheers and clapping could be heard from the onlookers while music played in the background. The recording ended with the performer smiling and kissing the senior on the top of his head.

According to observers, the show went on for 15 minutes.

The state-run nursery home received heavy criticism for its decision to hire an adult entertainer to perform for the elderly.

They released an apology, reading: "The intention of the event was to entertain residents and make them happy. We are very sorry for the offense that was caused."

A spokesperson ensured that the facility would be more careful when planning future events and that the girl's dance had been "too enthusiastic and fiery."

The staff explained why they had decided to hire the stripper because they wished to give the seniors "enthusiasm" and "energy."

Facebook users have shared their views on the matter, and some agreed with the idea.

"Don't know, Grandpa seems to be enjoying himself. It also seemed that everyone else was clapping their hands. I say, let them enjoy themselves," one user wrote.

"God forbid these men to get one last interaction with a scantily-clad woman before their quickly-approaching demise," another reflected.

Whatever might be the right thing to think, it is no denying the seniors looked enthusiastic about what was happening in front of them.
