Italian police are investigating an anti-vax scam after a nurse was caught on CCTV pretending to give a vaccine to a patient.

The nurse, 51, from Ancona, allegedly found people who wanted to get a Covid passport without getting the vaccine. He received around 400 euros for a fake jab.

According to MailOnline, who broke the story, among the arrested are four other people, including a lawyer, who was a mediator for the scam. All were placed under house arrest, as the police are investigating 50 more individuals.

In the video, the nurse pretends to give a vaccine but then reaches over and injects the content into a waste container.

So far, the police have seized around 18k euros from this group.

With pressures from governments for mandatory vaccinations, these scams are becoming more common and, luckily, more transparent.

In December, also in Italy, a dentist tried to use a fake arm to get a Covid health pass and avoid restrictions.

The nurse spotted the fake arm he found on Amazon, reported the case, and the dentist's license was suspended. He then stated that his life was ruined. He is being investigated for fraud, though it is unclear whether he wanted a Green Pass illegally or reflected his stance on anti-Covid jabs.

The nurse, Filippa Bua, said that she acknowledged something was off. As soon as she touched the arm, she realized it was rubber foam.
