Not Cool: Another Copycat Prankster Arrested After A Video Showing Him Lick Tub Of Ice Cream Goes Viral

A second prankster has been filmed licking a tub of Blue Bell Ice Cream and sticking his finger before putting it back in the freezer.

Lenise Martin III, 36-year-old, has been arrested after he was filmed slurping Blue Bell ice cream and placing the tub back in the freezer at a supermarket.

This incident comes just a few days after another video of a teenage woman licking ice cream straight from the tube and putting it back in the shop freezer went viral with over 11 million views on Twitter.

Lenise has been charged with unlawful posting a notorious criminal activity and tampering with customer products in a supermarket in Belle Rose, Louisiana.

The footage shows Martin holding a large tub of ice cream, taking off the lid, licking the content, and sticking his finger before returning the container to the freezer.

Investigators reported that after management become aware of the ice-licking video, Martin returned to the store and showed the clerk a receipt, suggesting he actually paid for the ice cream.

Despite his proof, Martin was charged with unlawful tampering with property. He's now in jail awaiting bond.

A spokesperson for the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office said:

"We discourage anyone from copying this atrocious act."

"It is illegal. It's a health risk to others. We will pursue anyone we see to do this. You will be charged."

The spokesperson added that any copycats will be dealt with "immediately and with the full extent of the law."

According to Lonny Cavalier, head of the city's public information department, the store's cameras also caught Martin in the act.

Cavalier said:

"He [Martin] was on video, and he videoed himself as well, taking a container of Blue Bell ice cream."

"He opened it, he licked the top, stuck his fingers in it, and then put the container of ice cream back on the shelf."

Although Martin didn't necessarily put other customers at risk, police are still taking the issue seriously, and they believe the video was a misguided attempt at notoriety.

Cavalier added:

"Based on the receipt and the fact that we could not locate another container that had been tampered with, we believe, at the end of the day, that he purchased the container."

In the previous video of the Texas teenager, the girl was filmed licking ice cream at a local Walmart store before putting the tub back in the shop freezer.

In the clip, a man, presumed to be her boyfriend, can be heard encouraging the teenager, saying, "Lick it, lick it, lick it!"

The man then urges her to "put it back" in the freezer.

The disgusting video also prompted another copycat to gargle Listerine mouthwash at a Walmart store before spitting it back into the bottle and returning the container to the shelf.

Police are now urging people not to copy these "illegal" and "atrocious acts," warning that anyone who'll be caught doing so will be charged.
