North Korea brutally executed a trade official for going out to a public bath while he was meant to be in Coronavirus quarantine, reports claim.

A North Korean official who returned from China has reportedly been executed for going to a public bath to violate his quarantine.

The trade official, who had been placed in isolation after traveling to China, was arrested by officers and immediately shot as the country takes sickening measures to avoid the killer outbreak spreading.

This shocking revelation comes as China saw its deadliest days of the Coronavirus outbreak so far as the number of deaths staggeringly rises to over 2,100.

The trade official was reportedly quarantined under a policy of isolating anyone who had been to China or contacted Chinese people.

In another incident, an official at North Korea's National Security Agency was exiled to work on a farm after trying to cover up a recent trip to China.

According to the New York Post, some South Korean media outlets have reported several Coronavirus cases and possible deaths from the illness in the North.

However, World Health Organization officials based in Pyongyang told the Voice of America that they haven't been notified of any confirmed cases.

North Korea has remained adamant that there have been no cases of Coronavirus within its borders. However, experts outside the reclusive country — which shares an 880-mile-long border with China — have met that assertion with a healthy dose of skepticism.

The country has almost completely closed the border with China, its only major diplomatic ally.

Flights have been reduced with road and rail links either closed or heavily restricted, while foreign tourists have been banned.

Pyongyang has also suspended operations at a liaison office, located just north of the border.

State media reported that North Korea's Red Cross Society had been deployed to 'relevant areas' around the country to monitor people with possible symptoms.

KCNA reported:

"They are conducting information activities in various forms and by various methods at public places to introduce common medical knowledge about the epidemic and encourage people to give fuller play to the noble moral traits of helping and leading each other forward."

The media also reported that Pyongyang was extending the quarantine period for people showing symptoms from 14 to 30 days, and all government institutions and foreigners living in the country were expected to comply "unconditionally."

North Korea took similar strict quarantine measures during the 2002-2003 SARS outbreak, which also began in China.

At the time, the North didn't report any SARS cases, according to officials.
