I think I have had enough advice about what an ideal man should be like. And I’m sure guides about finding the perfect man are made with the best intentions. But where has that gotten us?

Personally, not far. And I’m sure I’m not alone.

I have tried finding the right man for me, someone who will tick everything off my checklist. The effort has so far not paid off, and I think I’m done.

Perfection Is Not For Me As I Search For My Ideal Man.

Not anymore.

I have suffered my fair share of heartbreaks while on this pointless journey. Tears have flowed, and I have endure a lot of pain.

Every relationship I have gotten into has fallen short of my high expectations in the most unexpected of ways. I have been through a few narcissists, jokers, posers, and everything in between.

There is just one type of man I want now: a grown-ass man who has his shit together. Boys with perfect looks and flawed characters no longer have a place in my life.

I Want A Man Who Means What He Says.

I no longer care for men who promise me the moon and deliver nothing but disappointments. I’ll settle for a man who will be by my side as I look up at the stars on exciting summer nights.

Trust me, I am not asking for too much.

I know what I want, and my experiences from previous relationships have taught me that. I’m not naïve enough to seek perfection any longer, I just need a man who knows what he wants.

I need a man who appreciates having me in his life. No longer do I have time for boys who say one thing today and change their mind the next day.

The self-centeredness, the egotism, the narcissism, and the pretenses are not things I can stand for anymore.

I want a man who genuinely appreciates what he has with me and will go the extra mile for its sake.

Men Who Play Mind Games Have No Place In My Life.

I don’t need someone who fuels my insecurities and plays with my heart and soul. I want someone willing to take care of me as much as I want to take care of him.

A relationship involves give and take, and I want a man who understands and appreciates that.

Few things feel as bad as being taken for granted. I want a man who fights for me even after making me his own. The man I want doesn’t give up as soon as the first hurdle comes his way.

Love is a battlefield, and I want a man who can fight, not a boy who will run away at the first chance he gets.

I Need A Man Who Understands What Love Means, In All Its Complexity.

I should be irreplaceable to the man who comes into my life. I am a queen, and I should be treated as one.

And no, I don’t expect to be treated to all the luxuries the world can offer in all its abundance.

I can see beauty in small things. The man I want should be there for me regardless of what happens.
