Nick Cannon Reveals Childhood Crush On Mariah Carey: Had Her Pictures On His Wall At 12

As a child, Nick Cannon adorned his bedroom walls with pictures of Mariah Carey, only to later grow up and marry her.

The former couple, who were married from 2008 to 2016, have two children together and Cannon is best known for his role as the host of 'Wild 'n Out'.

Although they are no longer together, Nick still holds Mariah in high regard and considers her his greatest love.

It's not hard to understand why he adores her so much, as he essentially attracted her into his life through manifestation.

During a recent interview with The Shade Room, Nick was posed the question of who he considers the love of his life. It comes as no surprise that he chose Mariah.

"Like the greatest? I mean, I always talk about that. Then it goes viral, and our fans get mad at me," he shared.

"But I was 12 years old with Mariah Carey pictures on my wall, and that becomes my wife. And the fact that she's the coolest person I ever met..."

He continued to express his admiration for his former spouse, saying, "I get a lot of this delightful disposition from her."

"She's just always happy, always doing for others. No matter what's happening in life. I'm like, 'Wow, a person can really operate like that and don't allow negative energy into their space.'

"When I found that out about how remarkable she was, that woman is not human. She's a gift from God."

It's not at all unexpected that Nick still harbors strong feelings for Mariah, as he frequently praises her. In fact, as recently as last year, he openly expressed his willingness to reconcile with the multi-Grammy winner if they could recapture their former relationship.

During an appearance on The Hot Tee Talk Show, he stated: "It was literally like a fairy tale with Mariah, so I would rather it just be that way, and I appreciate that fantasy because if I try to go back and it wasn't the same, I'd be like, 'Damn, I messed it up'."

"But if I had the opportunity, if it could be the way it was, I'm there."

Following his split from Mariah, Nick became a father for the third time with Brittany Bell when they welcomed Golden Sagon. The couple also had a second child, Powerful Queen, who was born in December 2020.

In June 2021, Nick and model and DJ Abby De La Rosa became parents to twin boys, Zion and Zillion Cannon.

Shortly after, Nick welcomed a son named Zen with model Alyssa Scott, just nine days after the twins were born. Tragically, Zen was diagnosed with brain cancer and passed away in December of the same year.

In the previous year, Nick became a father to several children with different partners.

He had a son named Legendary Love Cannon with Bre Tiesi, a daughter named Onyx Ice Cole Cannon with model LaNisha Cole, a son named Rise Messiah Cannon with Brittany Bell, a daughter named Beautiful Zepplin Cannon with Abby De La Rosa, and a daughter named Halo Marie Cannon with Alyssa Scott.
